Menori

I sometimes do wonder about Google AdSense. I’ve experimented a bit with adverts on the menori swiki. (The swiki is the search box and search cloud at the top right of the site). So when clciking on ‘Bonnie Bailey’, for example, you’re taken to search results that I’ve customised for Bonnie.

On the left of the results page is a small AdSense box. But the ads that Google runs for ‘Bonnie Bailey‘ are all to do with alcoholism. Eek. I get the impression that Bonnie likes to party (you only have to look at her MySpace for that, which has had a makeover and looks much prettier) but alcoholism? Fascinating.

Still, even Barry Hercules doesn’t escape the wrath of AdSense. When using the search for ‘Barry‘ you get my tailored Barry results which are all geared towards making sure you find information on the ultimately Barry, Barry Hercules from Star Fleet. [Incidentally - the Star Fleet X-Bomber page www.sfxb.co.uk was mentioned in the Birmingham edition of Metro this week, as an awesome site for 80's puppet shows.] And the ads for Barry are all about holiday homes in Barry, South Wales.

Shocking.
