Hmm. Having looked at Maryam Scoble’s blog I decided to take the nerd test. Now normally I get ‘fairly nerdy’ in these sort of tests because they involve being able to count, having once taken part in a roleplaying game, knowing that Han shot first or once watched Urotsokidoji.
I’m a bit concerned though that I got about 95% in this one achieving a rating of ‘nerd god’. Questions relating to identifying elements on the periodic table, identifying Sir Isaac Newton from a picture, having an untidy bedroom, having only 4 or 5 really good friends and knowing what my IP address is make me an uber nerd.
I’m shocked. My ten year old niece wouldn’t call me a nerd, I don’t think. Infact she thinks I’m fairly cool and she’s a good judge of dweebs, nerds, geeks, otaku, feebs, pillow biters and people who are feeble.

I am ‘Not nerdy, but definitely not hip’!
That’s actually pretty good then Pixi. I’m not sure being ‘nerd god’is actually something to brag about. Although it put me in good stead recently having had to sort some ‘emergency’ IT problems out. It was interesting that the people I was speaking too didn’t think I was an IT nerd, so clearly I don’t ‘look’ like a geek (atleast to some people).
