Menori

I’ve decided to update menori.com a little. So as to not get sued by System 3 or whoever owns the Last Ninja brand nowadays I thought I’d better change the branding of the site. Menori.com has evolved from being ‘Mental Oriental’ on blogger to MenOri on WordPress and has slowly lost it’s deranged roots.

Moving menori.com into the new world I’ve decided to drop the .com (it’s so not important anymore) and to refocus menori to being less ‘oriental’. With this in mind I’d like to put together a new logo.

Using simple tools on my Mac I put together some simple designs. None really catch the emphasis of what I see menori being about - vibrancy, fresh, different. None of them have any verve.

 

It’s pure coincidence that they’ve both got orange in them. I tried not to combine orange with grey - a colour combination that I thnk really works - because it would resemble EasyJet too much. I’m no logo designer that’s for sure.

Obviously I could take the easy route and use Web 2.0 logo creator But what’s the fun in that?

So I’m looking for inspiration. In fact I’ve set up a Bix contest as the place to manage the entries. I fully expect Ashleigh, Dan and Steve L to enter.

I think that’s it other than to say there will be a prize for the winner. Although I haven’t decided what it will be yet. But it will be good.
