Windows Live Writer is announced!

After much speculation, well on Menori.com anyway, the new Windows Live offering is available.
Seems Beau, the one responsible for much of the hype these last few days has posted all ready and, as one of the initial testers, has some useful comments. Judging from Beau’s comments it sounds awfully similar to Word 2007 Beta in so far as publishing to anything other than Live Spaces needs some manual configuration. This should be straightforward though as it only took acceptance of some default settings in order to begin publishing from Word 2007 Beta into WordPress.
So the mystery is solved. Windows Live Writer does exist and could well become a great new blog publishing tool. No doubt many folks will post about it over the coming days when the public beta launches. I’ll be giving it a go trying to publish to both menori.com (which runs on WordPress) and my Live space. Spell checking will be a welcome addition.
