Who wants to be a superhero?

Stan Lee himself presides over this latest Sci-Fi channel production ‘Who wants to be a super hero’? With 11 contestants fighting it out (not literally I’m led to believe) to be immortalised in a Dark Horse Comics book penned by Lee.

Well if Youngblood could have sold as many titles as it did a few years back with Rob Leifeld as it’s scrappy artist and writer then I’m sure this will too. Afterall, most of the Pop Idol acts go on to do ok in terms of selling records so why not a super hero in a comic.

If there seres is popular maybe they’ll run another one. At that point I think it would be time for me to enter as ‘The Human Man’ - a 5′8″, 140lbs (wet through) being of pure humaness. With the power to speak, write and comment on stuff like TV shows, films and the Web. His special abilities are to entertain children at weddings and to pretend to levitate objects (mostly coffee cups) with his mind. He was spawned as a result of never fully understanding why people cut down his father’s yukka plants after England were knocked out of Euro ‘96. He vowed to avenge the yukka plants and donned ordinary clothing made of cotton and polyester as his super-attire.
