I saw that Citroen have started running a new C4 advert where the car turns into a speed skating robot. Not quite a funky as the last commercial but impressive nonetheless.

So it appears the countdown is on to Indepedence Day 2007 when the movie will air. Not sure who the robot is on the web page now. Could quite possibly be Optimus Prime (he’s got blue eyes in most incarnations). The countdown only has 22 days on it when I looked which might imply something more on 4th July 2006. We will waitand see, but a teaser trailer would be excellent. I didn’t follow the forums on transformerslive.com of late so I’m not sure whether any official announcements were made around cast etc. I know there was huge debate among fans about who should voice Prime and Megatron. IMDB does have the ‘human’ cast identified and some TV show people have been announced in some of the roles. Frankly that’s boring. This film is about Transformers. So unless the maniacal Megatron is not voiced by Frank Welker (or someone who can do a good Frank Welker Megatron - Mark Hammill maybe) then I don’t want to know.
Peter Cullen voicing Prime and saying “We’re Autobots”, points upwards to the sky above “We’re from Cybertron” will cause me to break down in tears I just know it.
