Well. Another browser based word processor springs up and it’s rubbish. Unintuitive, every line appears to be automatically centre aligned when you import a Word document etc. It’s not very good.
I think I’ll be keeping my ribbons for now.
Yes, I know it’s Michael Robertson’s baby. But just because someone did mp3.com, Linspire and other stuff doesn’t mean to say that he’s going to be destroy Microsoft Word. I’ve tried Word 2007 and, frankly, it’s lovely. I only use Word at work though I don’t envisage using a wordprocessor seriously at home. So although AjaxWrite is aimed more at consumers than business I still can’t see myself using something like that.
Writely is sweet. I liked what it was trying to achieve. It’s lightweight and fast and nimble. Maybe Google will put a whole raft of development behind it and turn it into something that I could use at home.
But AjaxWrite.. er no. Not in this incarnation.
