Social networks (faciltated by the Web ofcourse)

Google appear to acquired Orkut.com one of the growing number of social / work network websites that facilitate groups of individuals all ‘knowing’ each other. Orkut works similar to Gmail in the sense that you get an account as a result of being invited by an existing member. (How you get an account in the first place is a mystery - I know my Gmail account came as a result of my being a Blogger Pro subscriber and when Google took over Blogger I got an invite).

So if anyone has an orkut account send me an invite I’d love to check out the system. I’m all ready a user of Linked-In and dinf that to be ‘interesting’ at best. It seems I know someone who know someone else who knows someone else. Wow!

Fair enuff… ;-) Thanks for the invite. I’ll be sure to make sure you get a Linked-in invite too. (There are some crazy people on there who think they are my friend. Or is that the other way around?)
